As my WiRs are pretty standard, this one involved a bit of less structured weekend time for some decompression. Translate to: I slept the vast majority of the first 12 hours of the day. With my main costuming client out of town, and no supplies on hand to continue working on that project, I’ve pretty much taken the day off to take care of some other things, and give the creative flow a time it didn’t need to be actively working. Unfortunately, it works better when it’s not on active duty.
Fortunately, my partner-in-crime and unofficially adopted sister came to the rescue with activities amounting to a girls’ afternoon out, and as is normal with these expeditions, we ended up at JoAnn’s – the source of most of my crafting addictions, where not only did I pick up another source pattern for a piece that’s been requested on the costuming front, but also the tools to explore something I’ve wanted to for a while – a knitting loom for socks. No self control, especially when it comes to JoAnn’s propensity for offering coupons.
I do hope to get some embroidery/cross stitch done tomorrow, so maybe I’ll take some time over the next week to check out the loom and its instructions.
Ain’t no rest for the wicked, curious, and creative…
