Having a moment of P!nk. Because, why not? If I’m writing, I might as well share some favorites too.
So what’s happening? I don’t even know where to start with the awesome.
There’re the achievements over on the Dainty Bitch Skin blog – namely, superman and side saddle superman/poleorama being conquered today, the hamstring deciding that it’s okay with being worked again and back to pre-injury marks on the splits work.
I worked from home all week. Not having to commute is beyond amazing.
My hair projects also continue. My eyebrows are growing back in – it’s not that they disappeared, it’s just that I plucked the hell out of my arches, and so I’m giving them a break (and feeling like a slightly better groomed but less artistic Frida Kahlo). I’ve also had my undercut shaved, and am currently waiting for my next session with Camile at Vibrant Salon to have a lotus shaved and dyed into the growth – just because. I’m ridiculously excited about this, moreso than I would normally be, because she’s been looking for someone to do this, and well, the stars aligned.
Still waiting on the medusa/philtrum pierce – I’d like to be able to have it mostly healed before heading home, so that I don’t have to be in the padre’s face with another facial piercing, since he’s not a huge fan of them. Even so, since I’ve hit late-30s and have shown that my piercings haven’t kept me from being employed, I still don’t want to cause issues with Dad and still crave his approval. Even though he’ll comment on it no matter what I do, I’d like it to be healed and settled, so that the jewelry can be dainty – much like the nostril pierce he seems to have accepted. Looking at the holiday visit to happen in December, but it’s probably an early 2017 event.
I’m finding my sewing mojo again – picked up some patterns today, one for this year’s costume, one for accessories, and then a third to start working on a mash-up costume I have in my brain, but more on that as it gets closer to being made, and just maybe this time, I’ll document the construction.
Things with the sigoth are amazing. We’ve had a bit of a breakthrough in the last little bit. I can’t put my finger on it, but we’ve both been very open to what the other’s wanting/needing. The flow back and forth has been fantastic, and I hope the openness will continue.
Life is great – minimal background noise means I’m not being distracted by it, but always feel open to send a word this way.
