I finally did it. Bit the bullet and signed up for bass guitar lessons. Time for me to actually start playing my guitars, rather than having them sitting and staring at me.

I dropped into Open Chord Saturday, with the intention of just researching, but walked out with a lesson time of 5:30 on Saturday evening. The price is pretty awesome – $80/month for a 30 minute lesson once a week.

I’ve been needing to do this, since having to be accountable to a teacher will keep me focused, plus the desire to learn strong technique. Rocksmith, while fun, has probably caused me to learn some bad habits. Hopefully the break’s been long enough that I can break them.

Very excited – and something else to mark off the bucket list.
