Trying to keep it real

Ergh. Up in arms a bit this morning over an eBay purchase and return process that’s been going on since August. Terrible customer service all the way around, with not only the seller, but eBay and PayPal too. That’s okay, though.  I’ve filed a chargeback with my bank, and submitted the tons of documentation that I have on the situation. If it works, fabulous. If not, then I’m probably finished with eBay.

Other news, bass lessons continue to go well – I actually have a nice chunk (aka all of) a 12-bar blues line to practice this week, and it sounded awesome, even with me playing it, in my lesson yesterday.  That should be fun work this week. I’ve just about got everything set up for a decent practice space, now to figure out where I want it to be.  It’ll probably continue to be on the loveseat, since that’s where the amp is, but even so, it’s not a huge issue to move it.

Some thoughts going on about how perfect/filtered/prettified people’s pole photo and video posts seem to be. I have some that are not-so-perfect, and after some time of thinking, I don’t feel the need to filter my reality. Sure, they’re not always flattering, and I don’t always look like I’d like to, but it’s the body I have, it’s the body I continue to work on, and it’s worth being documented and celebrated. (If you want to see, they’ll be on the Dainty Bitch Skin subdomain.)

Had the medusa piercing I’ve been pondering for a long time (I’ve loved them since I first saw one twenty-ish years ago) installed last week by the darling Sara at Body Graffix here in Knoxville. I’d forgotten how much clamp piercings hurt, and this one actually evoked a response in the middle of it, but healing’s been pretty easy. I’m looking forward to getting to downsize the jewelry soon.  Next week is awesome hair week with Camile at Vibrant Salon. #GenXStillRides

Continuing to work, continuing to love, continuing to be. Doing my thing.
