It’s been a little bit, since I’ve been busy, but not with anything ridiculously exciting, so minimal updating.
Getting ready to go into the standard holiday depression-y bit, with the visit to the family this coming weekend, so that’ll be fun on one level, but I’ll be missing the hell out of my Mom again. Add into the fun of the hormonal cycle – which really shouldn’t be like it is, since I’m on the pill, but my body seems to pay no attention to the pharmaceutical cues, and still likes to go into a snit every so often. This also tweaks the diabetes, and so on and so forth, so it just gets to a point where I’m a flat out mess. WHEEEEE!
I have, however, had a couple of neat things happen in the last little bit. I’ve knocked something else off the bucket list – having taken two private hoop dance classes with Hoopbug/Charity here in town, and enjoyed the hell out of them. Unfortunately, cold-weather practice space is at a premium in my house, so I don’t get as much practice as I’d like, but I’ve identified somewhere else to try in the next day or two, so fingers crossed. This has also included a new, slightly larger hoop – 44″ in aqua mirror tape, with criss-crossed gaffer tape in a burgundy purple and grey. It’s really pretty, and I very much like it – so much that I apologize to it when I drop it, as happens frequently.
Bass lessons continue – I received a compliment from my teacher today with how nice the chromatic triplet lines up and down were sounding, so that was pretty awesome. I’m starting to feel like I actually get it somewhat, so it’s a little bit easier, and fortunately, my instructor seems to understand that with the piano background, I’m more used to working from sheet music/tabs, than improvising. But as always, that will come with more practice and increasing comfort/confidence with my knowledge.
Camile, at Vibrant Salon, worked more magic on the back of my head, and that’s visible on both Facebook and Instagram. It’s a gorgeous almost-tie dye in purple, teal, and magenta, with a star shaved into one side, that hangs off the edge. It’s quite neat!
As usual, pole updates are over on the Dainty Bitch skin section, and there’re quite a few, including the continuing development of superman and foot mounts, plus my taking advantage of Black Friday sales to try out three new lines of pole gear, and some new styles in an existing favorite.
