Blogging regularly is not my forte.

Yup. Almost 18 months since y’all’ve heard from me – I’ll save the apologies, since I’m not sorry for being as busy as I have been. Keeping it short and sweet, I’ve been learning and growing and pushing boundaries.

Guitar-wise: I’ve explored both bass and standard, enjoy both of them, but my brain isn’t set up to play pop guitar.  I’ve also recently realized that it’s not one of my true loves, so I’ve stopped taking lessons. I have enough to be able to play with it more if I so choose, but I also realize it’s not enough of a priority for me currently to make time to practice.

Crafting: Still too many projects. That damn cross stitch still isn’t done, but I do still work on it intermittently.  Still sewing a bit, still being intrigued by new things – I do have some chainmaille supplies for when I decide to sit down and work on it, but I’m also still wanting and trying to get the cross stitch done first.

Pole: this really is my true hobby love, and time sink. Doesn’t hurt that it’s also somewhat social, and it continues to challenge me without becoming boring. So much progress. I had a great time at Rock N Pole High School in July 2017, and have essentially grown by leaps and bounds by taking some risks at my studio – including adding a training partner to the mix and sharing privates with her, learning to take rest days more frequently, and also adding to what I’m doing, such as adding a Fly Gym class and frequent Pole 1 classes.  I’ve also recently been tapped to start shadowing my instructor, in order to be able to serve as a substitute teacher, and we’ll see how that develops.

Overall, quite pleased.
