Coming up for air…

So, we see that the weekly blog updates don’t really happen, as they’re not high enough on the project priority list to have a location of “this. will. happen. every. week.” in addition to my just being crazy busy anyway, not to mention that to me, at least, the weekly updates are very very repetitive.  Nonetheless, here’s what’s currently going on:

Burlesque Academy – Advanced: yes, second semester has begun, and yes, there will be another performance in June, at another Grinduation, with both the basic and advanced classes playing.  Number is in development, costuming is in full throttle, and I’m developing quite a relationship with various types of glue and learning how to rhinestone items.  I just have to say that if my realized number is half as awesome as it is in my head, it should be a good piece.

Aerial: still kicking my butt, but I’ve been given the all clear to start the artistry classes, since my upper body strength is ridiculous.  It’s absolutely insane how quickly it’s come along.  Flexibility’s a hell of a lot better, too, and I’m swinging myself up into the silks without too much thought, doing things easily now that were virtually impossible at the beginning.  Core strength is getting so much better, and we’re adding another level of training into the aerial fitness class (for me, at least), that will translate into the burlesque academy Grinduation piece.  I’m planning to start the artistry classes come May.  Exciting and scary.

First Friday at TALC: in the development stages still, but looking forward to seeing y’all on May’s First Friday.  Facebook event will be forthcoming with additional detail.

Dance Classes: still going, still at a reduced level – belly dance starts a new session tomorrow, and it’s a balancing class, so here comes the sword!  Once all the classes start a new session, I’m probably going to pick cabaret and Dance Pop back up, since the choreographies for both just didn’t interest me for this last session.

Various and sundry photo shoots: yes.  Keep your eyes peeled, as one is for an installation at TALC coming the second week of May.  The shoot for that is scheduled for next weekend, and there’s one still in the air that I need to get scheduled (thanks, migraine, for blowing the last time we’d arranged).

Anyhoo, it’s a standard perfect storm.  Creativity’s running amok, and I need about 6 more hours per day to get things done.

Stay busy, stay creative, and always leave them wanting more!
